“Diagnosis, emergency response and driving in a single pair of glasses” — Korean firm partners with a Swiss research institute
GeniusMed, a digital-healthcare specialist, is accelerating development of Bio-AI diagnostic smart glasses with automatic emergency linkage — a platform that brings fundus imaging and vital-sign analysis together in a single pair of glasses, aimed at the global market.
AI spots early signs of disease through fundus imaging and EEG analysis
In an emergency such as cardiac arrest, location and video are transmitted automatically to the emergency services
The glasses also switch the vehicle to autonomous mode when drowsy driving is detected
GeniusMed (CEO Brian Lee) announced on the 23rd that development of its Bio-AI diagnostic smart glasses — which condense three core technologies into a single pair of glasses — is progressing smoothly. Building on six domestic patents and four PCT international applications, the company is targeting an integrated device prototype and clinical validation in 2027.
The glasses combine three technologies. Early disease diagnosis uses AI to analyse fundus images together with vital signs such as EEG and ECG, surfacing early indicators of diabetes, cardiovascular and neurological disease on an AR display. Automatic EMS linkage detects emergencies such as cardiac arrest and stroke, as well as traffic, crime and fire incidents, and transmits location, video and vital signs to the emergency room and the emergency services. Smart mobility switches the vehicle to autonomous mode when drowsiness is detected, preventing accidents.
